Finished a Book?

If you have finished a book and would like to notify challenge participants so that they can see your review or look at your progress page, leave a comment here. If you are posting your reviews to a blog entry and not a post page, leave the URL for that specific blog entry. If you just have a post page where you track everything, leave your URL.

NOTE: you don’t have to post reviews or post here. This is completely optional for those of you who want to post reviews of the books you read and draw notice to them. All you need for the challenge is a page or posts tracking how many of the 20 books you’ve read. Reviews are always nice, though. It’s good to have your voice heard!

I just finished the book ” A Fraction of a Whole by Steve Toltz published by Spiegel & Grau; 2008; fathers & sons fiction

The story is about two brothers who did not choose to be criminals but was forced to become bad by fate. The family’s life experiences actually happens in most households, reduced to 20%. Martin Dean, the father of Jasper passed through a series of tests but exaggerated by the author to catch the reader’s interest. Martin had a lot of lessons taught to his son which was later on realized by the latter after his Dad’s death. My tears fell at the end of the novel, though I laughed a lot all throughout the story.

After having read ‘Shopaholic abroad’, I really wanted to get my hands on books by Sophie Kinsella. I found this one… ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’ and read it in just one afternoon. Delightful, funny and a quick read. If you can ignore the similarities between the books in the Shopaholic series.

Currently reading Lee Child’s Echo Burning. This one’s a little slow, or maybe I am bored of Child!

Yeah, so I’ve completed 13 now.
